Flashbags Design Featured in Fleming Museum

The exhibit, "Andy Warhol, Fashionistas and Celebrities" features rarely-seen photographs and Polaroids, which offer a glimpse into the world of fashion and celebrity from the 1970s and 1980s. Collectively they position Warhol as a figure at the nexus of a world where art, fashion, and celebrity converged.

The exhibit also features three pieces of fashion which were inspired by Warhol's style. The dress in the center featuring President Obama was designed by Flashbags' own Laura Cheney in 2009 for the Boys and Girls Club's annual ONE Fashion Event. The jacket in the front was designed by Burton, and the sun dress in the back was designed by Diane von Furstenberg.

a very nice Flashion!

This dress, along with three other outfits, was worn by models emulating the First Family. It was made from recycled paper, laminate, newspaper, vinyl and snaps.
