Sarah Savasky

During the summer of 2011, Sarah ordered some Flashbags using her art. Everyone at Flashbags took notice. We loved the fusion of fashion, shoes, dress forms, collage, color and texture. How could a girl not love it? It wasn't long before we approached Sarah and asked her to be a part of our Fall 2011 collection. When you don't know what to give a girl, turn to Sarah's work.

A little bit about Sarah...

My love of fashion started with my grandmother and her two-tone patent leather shoes and matching purse. My love of collage came later in life from a need to create something from something else. I'm not sure where my fascination with the 1950's came from.

When I'm not doing art I can be found collecting ridiculous items at local antique shops, writing humorous essays about chronic illness and other amusing topics, or buying shoes.
